Colorado Handgun Permit (CHP)/Carry a Concealed Weapon (CCW)

Choose To Carry is on the Lincoln County Approved Trainers list and is able to provide Classroom Training in Hugo and live fire training at the Limon Gun Club.

New Permit holders

This requires 8 hours of instruction, passing a written test with a passing score of at least 80%, and a live fire competency demonstration of 50 rounds with a passing score of at least 70%.

Renewal Permits

This requires a minimum of at least 2 hours of instruction, passing a written test with a passing score of at least 80%, and a live fire competency demonstration of 50 rounds with a passing score of at least 70%. Due to the travel time required, expect the renewal class to last 4 hours.
